Alternative Fingerings for C tuba?
I need some info on alternative fingerings for C tuba. This is regarding Gene Pokorny's mention of the "harmonic series" in the Orchestral Excerpts for Tuba CD from the Summit records. I am assuming that the use of alternative fingerings have better intonation. An example would be playing E below mid-C with 1-2 instead of open. So far I have found this most useful for the tuba solo in Mahler Symphony #1.
So any alternative fingerings for other notes? I also need some combinations that use the 5th valve in relation to the low register. I also have a whole-step extention tuning slide for the 5th valve (5th valve plays maj 3rd lower instead of maj 2nd) that I havn't realy used. Some fingering combinations for that slide can be helpful

It is a simple fingering chart, but has alternative fingerings for notes that have them, including the 5th valve.
Now there are some that aren't on there, but those are mostly used to trill convenience and not intonation like you specified.
